MONTGOMERY – You’ve seen them on the highway and, possibly, seen them in the rearview mirror.

Now, though, there’s a chance to see them take a national title.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is competing in the American Association of State Troopers’ Best-Looking Cruiser Contest.

This year’s entry features Gov. Kay Ivey and Miss America Abbie Stockard flanked by an iconic Trooper Tahoe and a sleek ALEA Camaro.

With this all-star lineup, ALEA asking everyone to join in and vote to bring home another national title.

“This annual contest is a fun way to engage in friendly competition with our fellow state agencies for a good cause,” said ALEA Secretary Hal Taylor. “We are grateful to Governor Ivey, who has always been a strong supporter of law enforcement, and Miss Abbie Stockard who represents the State of Alabama with grace and poise, for being special guests in this year’s photo.”

Voting is simple:

  • Visit the official Survey Monkey link to vote.
  • Find Alabama’s photo (Camaro + Tahoe + Governor Ivey + Miss America = easy to spot!) Scroll to the bottom and vote from the dropdown menu.
  • Answer the second Captcha question and click done to submit.
  • Share with friends and family to help spread the word

Voting runs through July 11.

The winner will be presented with the “Best Looking Cruiser Award” and featured on the cover of the AAST’s “America’s Best Looking Trooper Cruisers 2026 Wall Calendar.” The calendars will be available for purchase at www.statetroopers.org beginning Oct. 1.

Calendar sales will benefit the AAST Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to dependents of member troopers.
