ALDOT slates road projects on I-65, US 431

HUNTSVILLE — The Alabama Department of Transportation has scheduled a pair of road projects on two major highways in North Alabama.

The work will be on U.S. 431 in Marshall County and on the northbound lanes of Interstate 65 near Priceville. Traffic delays should be expected.

  • U.S. 431 in Albertville, Boaz to be paved at night
    A resurfacing on U.S. 431 in Marshall County will begin tonight. A seven-mile stretch from the Etowah County line to Alabama 75 in Albertville will be milled and paved from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday nights through Friday mornings. The $6.5 million project with Whitaker Contracting is anticipated to be complete next spring.
  • ALDOT to patch I-65 north at Priceville
    Crews will be paving I-65 northbound in the Priceville area this week. Motorists are advised to expect delays due to single-lane closures from milepost 332, near Fredricks
    Outdoor, to Exit 334 at Alabama 67. Work will occur from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, Monday through Thursday. Message boards in advance of the work zone will advise motorists of alternate routes.
