A&M outfielder Trey Rutledge, nation’s leader in on-base percentage, named 2nd team All-SWAC

NORMAL — Alabama A&M University outfielder Trey Rutledge, who leads the nation and the Southwestern Athletic Conference in on-base percentage, was named to the SWAC Baseball Postseason second team, the conference announced.

Rutledge played in and started in 41 games for the Bulldogs this season. His .567 on-base percentage is tops in the country and conference. He is seventh in stolen bases per game, 16th in runs per game and 20th in stolen bases.

The redshirt junior from led Alabama A&M in batting (.397), runs scored (56), walks (37) and stolen bases (34-of-37). In addition, he registered 50 hits, including seven doubles, three triples and one home run, while driving in 13.
