Annual Three Caves event features dining and dancing under the moon and stars

HUNTSVILLE — Dining, music and dancing under the stars at a unique venue await guests next month at the annual Moon Dance.

Presented by Avilution, GTEC, and Redstone Federal Credit Union, proceeds from the Moon Dance at Three Caves help protect North Alabama’s natural lands. The dance is Sept. 20 from 7-10:30 p.m.

Three Caves is within the Land Trust of North Alabama’s Monte Sano Nature Preserve – one of the largest urban nature preserves in the U.S. – and has become one of the most unique outdoor venues in the region.

Just two miles from downtown Huntsville, Three Caves gets its name from the three limestone openings that accentuate the stage. The venue offers a 55-degree temperature year-round. As the sun sets and the lights begin to accentuate the walls, guests are in store for a truly magical experience.

A buffet-style dinner, including a vegetarian option, will be provided by Carrabba’s Italian Grill. Two drink tickets are included with the admission; additional wine and beer will be available for purchase. Outside food or drink is not allowed.

The progressive-soul powerhouse band Quantaphonics will provide their fusion of jazz, soul, hip-hop, funk, and rock for an unforgettable sonic experience.

A silent auction will feature unique experiences on Land Trust properties, local art, and a variety of products or services contributed by regional businesses. Bidding is one day only – Sept. 20 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

A free shuttle service from Huntsville Hospital parking lots begins around 6:30 p.m. – there is no on-site parking at the venue. Rideshare drop-off is at Mountain Springs Pool. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

Casual dress with closed toe shoes (due to gravel) is recommended. The temperature at Three Caves is typically a few degrees cooler due to cool air coming from the caves.

Tickets are available to Land Trust members at the Pathfinder level ($100/year) or above. Public ticket sales began Thursday. Click here.
