Arley’s Community Festival set for May 21

For 48 years, the Arley Day Festival has brought colossal fun to the small North Alabama town with a day filled with free, family-friendly activities. Set for May 21, the one-day event is a celebration of the town of Arley, complete with a parade, car show, arts and crafts vendors, games and more.

Presented by the Arley Women’s Club, the Arley Day Festival begins early with a pancake breakfast and a fun run. Additional activities lined up during the day include food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, free kids rides and hot dog lunch, car show with prizes, music and a parade.

The family-friendly community festival takes place at D. H. Hamner Park located on Helicon Road/Highway 77 in Arley.

Festival hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free but proceeds from the event go to the funding of the women’s club, which helps the community in a variety of ways, including supporting local students with scholarships.
