Ballin in Boutwell: Alabama A&M to face Samford in historic Birmingham arena

NORMAL — The Bulldogs and the Bulldogs will be “Ballin in Boutwell” in the fall.

Confused? Well, don’t worry.

The Alabama A&M Bulldogs will play the Samford Bulldogs in a men’s basketball game at the Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham.

The two teams are set to play in the Ballin in Boutwell exhibition series Oct. 13 at 7 p.m.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our men’s basketball program to participate in the Ballin in Boutwell event,” Alabama A&M head coach Donte Jackson said. “I’m excited to have our men’s basketball program in this showcase event that will represent some of the best schools, players, and coaches in the state.

“I look forward to our opportunity to compete against Samford and playing in Birmingham. This gives our fans, alums, and supports a chance to cheer us on early.”
