Shiree Lane-Griffin has been promoted to vice president of operations at BBB North Alabama, the organization announced this week.
She succeeds Belinda McCormick, who retired after 31 years with the organization. Lane-Griffin joined BBB North Alabama in 2020 as a business and consumer specialist and was promoted to director in 2023 before assuming her role as vice president of operations.
Karen Reeves, president and CEO of BBB North Alabama, said Lane-Griffin’s track record made her the clear pick for the promotion.
“Shiree’s experience, leadership, and commitment to our Accredited Businesses made her a natural choice for this position,” Reeves said. “She has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead with integrity, support our team, and strengthen relationships across our service area. We are proud to recognize her contributions through this well-earned promotion and look forward to the dedication she will bring to this role.”
Lane-Griffin will oversee day-to-day operations in the role, while backing strategic initiatives and working to improve services for accredited businesses and consumers.
“I am excited to step into this role and continue serving our Accredited Businesses, consumers, and communities,” Lane-Griffin said. “My goal is to continue building meaningful partnerships, fostering collaboration, and ensuring BBB North Alabama remains a trusted resource for businesses and consumers alike.”
Reeves also praised McCormick’s more than three decades of service to the organization.
“Belinda’s 31 years of service represent an extraordinary commitment to BBB North Alabama and its mission,” Reeves said. “We are deeply grateful for the knowledge, leadership and dedication she shared with our organization, our Accredited Businesses and the communities we serve. We wish her well in retirement.”
BBB North Alabama covers 13 counties. It has been working with consumers and businesses since 1965.
