Beat the North Alabama heat at Cullman’s new WildWater water park

CULLMAN — It’s extra hot outside this summer, but now there’s a new way to cool off: WildWater in Cullman. With something for just about everyone, North Alabama’s newest water park is the perfect place to make a summer splash.

The 12-acre water park features RipTide, a 22,000 square-foot wave pool, 18 water slides, and a splash area for younger visitors. WildWater also has four splash pad stations throughout the park, 15 cabanas and 9 extra-large funbrellas to provide shade, and a giant LED wall.

Guests can also float down the Drift River for some relaxation.

WildWater offers full-service lunch and dinner options at the Oasis Bistro; quick service items at The Gully; frozen treats from Iceberg, a refurbished 1973 Airstream Sovereign; and refreshing adult beverages at Breakers.

Located in the heart of Cullman, WildWater is part of the city’s Sports and Events District. Once the Sports and Events Center is completed, the complex will have 10 tournament basketball courts, 19 volleyball courts, 9 baseball/softball fields, 5 soccer fields, a wellness center, an indoor aquatic center, and WildWater.

WildWater is open Mondays and Wednesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.;  Sundays, 1-6 p.m.; and Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets start at $23.95.

Twilight Tuesdays are available and guests can enjoy exclusive access from 4-7 p.m. at a discounted rate. Splash-in movies are scheduled for June 28, July 26 and Aug. 30, with half off admission prices.
