HUNTSVILLE – It will be South Huntsville’s first Christmas on the River at Ditto Landing,  and it is certain to become a South Huntsville tradition. The event is presented by Freedom Real Estate & Capital.

Ditto Landing, the Madison County Commission and the South Huntsville Main Business Association are celebrating the Christmas season at the river with the grand opening of Christmas Card Lane on Dec. 2 from 5–8 p.m.

Take a stroll down Christmas Card Lane, which runs for a mile along the Tennessee River Greenway and is decorated with festive 4-by-8-foot Christmas cards designed by Huntsville’s most creative companies, nonprofits, families, and artists.

There will also be an unveiling at 7 p.m. of an indoor Santa’s Model Railroad Depot and you can buy a Christmas tree at the Tree Farm.

The ribbon-cutting event and Christmas Card Lane are open to the public.

After Dec. 2, Christmas Card Lane opens daily at sunrise, is lit up at dusk, and will stay open till 10 p.m. daily until Dec. 31.
