Christmas on the River at Ditto looking like a Hallmark movie

HUNTSVILLE – You know that warm, cheerful, even romantic feeling you get from watching a holiday movie – the ones where everyone is filled with good cheer, baking, shopping, decorating … and, at some point, be it girl or boy, a Grinchy character discovers love and Christmas magic at the end?

That is how Christmas on the River at Ditto Landing looks this holiday season.

There is still so much to do on Huntsville’s most popular waterfront this holiday season for friends, family, co-worker gatherings and date nights. If you know someone not yet in the Christmas spirit, bring them along and change their mind!

Jingle Tail Walk
Today from 5–8 p.m.

Pets love Christmas too!

Presented by the Singing River Trail, bring your furry friends for a walk along Christmas Card Lane, socialize with other pet owners, and pose for pictures with your favorite cards.

Cruising the Cards
Wednesday, Thursday and Dec. 21 from 5-8 p.m.

Take a drive down Christmas Card Lane!. It is usually a walking attraction, but on these special nights only, Christmas Card Lane is open for drive-throughs. It is a great opportunity for the mobility impaired, for people in a time crunch, or those concerned about the weather, to experience the beautiful Christmas Cards on display along the waterfront.

Reindeer Rails
Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5–8 p.m.

Presented by ServisFirst Bank, Reindeer Rails is a labor of love this weekend.

Each piece has been purchased, donated, or borrowed to create a nostalgic Christmas Village and model train display. Every time you look, you will see something new.

Holiday Fireworks
Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. (weather permitting)

Presented by Redstone Gateway, it is the last chance to enjoy festive fireworks celebrating the holiday season on the waterfront.

Deck the Docks
Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4– 8 p.m.

Presented by Erwin Marine Sales, it’s a boat parade… almost. Boats will be lining the Ditto marina this weekend and decorated for the holiday season. They will remain parked, so you don’t have to worry about missing them.
