Community spotlight: Spring Creek Pointe brings luxury living to Lake Guntersville

GUNTERSVILLE — Ainsworth Homes introduced its newest development, Spring Creek Pointe, with a community showcase event this week, welcoming potential homeowners and neighbors to tour the lakeside subdivision and learn more about the vision behind Guntersville’s newest luxury waterfront community.

The 23-lot subdivision sits in the highly sought-after Spring Creek area inside Guntersville city limits. The neighborhood will feature lakefront lots, complete with private boathouses, and lake-access properties, which will have use of a private neighborhood boat launch.

“This is a premier luxury lakefront community,” said Rebecca Hinds, vice president of design and sales. “What makes Spring Creek Pointe special is that you’re in the city limits, you have both lakefront and lake-access lots, and the homes feature custom finishes like gourmet kitchens, walk-in showers, and soaker tubs.

“It’s a combination you really can’t find anywhere else in Guntersville.”

Lakefront lots at Spring Creek Pointe begin at $959,000 and lake-access properties start at $629,000.

For Will Ainsworth, owner of Ainsworth Homes, the project represents a unique opportunity to pair the company’s custom and community-building experience with one of North Alabama’s most iconic settings.

“Spring Creek Pointe is the newest waterfront development in Guntersville, and we’re excited to be building here,” Ainsworth said. “This area is famous for its fishing, its scenery, and its sense of community. We wanted to create a neighborhood where people can enjoy the lake every day, whether that’s walking down to their boathouse or launching from the neighborhood ramp.”

Ainsworth Homes builds custom designs and community-based developments. Ainsworth said the Spring Creek Pointe showcase was about giving people a firsthand look.

“We just wanted to invite the community out, let them see what we’re doing, and answer questions,” Ainsworth said. “We’ve already had people from Gadsden and locals in Guntersville showing interest, which is exciting.”

Will Elrod, president of Ainsworth Homes, said quality and personalization are at the heart of the company’s work.

“For us, it’s about giving a homeowner a product we’d be proud to live in ourselves,” Elrod said. “Buying a home is one of the biggest investments people make, and we want them to feel confident, whether it’s a custom build or one of our lakefront designs. That hands-on approach, listening to clients, and creating something they’re proud of is what makes these neighborhoods special.”

The Spring Creek location carries a bit of history, as well.

“For all you fishing fans, Spring Creek is where pro angler Randy Howell won the 2014 Bassmaster Classic,” said Ainsworth.

On the final day of the tournament, Howell landed a six-pound bass in Spring Creek, a catch that sealed his championship win. Howell, now a Guntersville resident, lives just down the shoreline.
