Dance the Monday blues away as award-winning Concerts in the Park returns

HUNTSVILLE — Huntsville’s most enduring summer music tradition, the Concerts in the Park at Big Spring Park, returns June 6. The series runs every Monday through Aug. 1 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Concerts in the Park is a collaborative effort between Arts Huntsville and the City of Huntsville Department of Parks & Recreation to showcase local musical talent in genres from rock, folk, and country to Latin, dance, R&B, and today’s hits. The series recently won Downtown Huntsville Inc.’s Downtown Event of the Year award.

As we count down to the biggest launch of Huntsville’s music scene with the opening of the Orion Amphitheater this weekend, it seems apropos one of Huntsville’s oldest and certainly one of Huntsville’s most foundational community music events returns to the Huntsville Museum of Art’s outdoor stage

As popular with foodies as it is with music lovers, dozens of local food trucks and vendors will also be on site. Bring your own seating including blankets. Picnics, dancing, and leashed pets are welcome.

The Concerts in the Park weekly slate of performers will be announced in the days ahead.
