Data flow: Huntsville police citizens group holding discussion

HUNTSVILLE – Gray day data or black cat data.

On Youtube’s “Clear English Corner” with Keenyn Rhodes, the speech-language pathologist says either pronunciation is correct. Lean on the a, or go with ah.

However it’s said at the Huntsville Police Department, the Huntsville Police Citizens Advisory Council is ready to tackle data as it pertains to how HPD uses statistics and information to solve crime and understanding the latest on data gathering and what governs the use of that data.

Those interested can join HPCAC and local police officers for a community forum Tuesday on “Data-Driven Policing” in the former Grissom Band Room at the Sandra Moon Community Complex. (Follow the directional signs from Bailey Cove Road past the public library and turn right behind the Sandra Moon Complex building).

Attendees will participate in round-table discussions with HPCAC members and police officers. Questions are welcome and encouraged.

For information on future meetings along with updates from previous events, visit HuntsvilleAL.gov/HPCAC.
