Job seekers from across Northeast Alabama will have an opportunity to connect with employers later this month as local and regional partners host a hiring event in DeKalb County.
The DeKalb County Hiring Event is scheduled for June 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Wills Valley Recreation Center, 4220 Godfrey Ave. NE in Fort Payne.
Organizers say the event will bring together employers from a variety of industries looking to fill open positions and connect with potential employees from across the region.
Companies currently scheduled to participate include G2 Supply, Plasman, Thrive Outdoor, Siemens Energy, DeKalb Regional Medical Center and Ferguson Distribution Center. Additional employers are expected to be announced before the event.
The hiring event is being coordinated through a partnership between the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce, the City of Fort Payne, the DeKalb County Economic Development Authority, Career Connect North Alabama and AIDT.
“We are excited to partner with AIDT’s Career Connect team for a DeKalb County Hiring Event on June 25,” said Dr. Brett Johnson, executive Director of the DeKalb County Economic Development Authority.
Job seekers are encouraged to pre-register before attending and bring copies of their résumé to share with participating employers.
The event is part of ongoing workforce development efforts aimed at connecting local residents with employment opportunities while helping businesses meet workforce needs in Northeast Alabama.
