There will also be a fitness court in conjunction with Arts Huntsville, walking paths, and connectivity to the city’s greenway network along with ample parking and LED lighting.

The first step in the park’s construction will begin Tuesday with a groundbreaking ceremony for The Park at Hays Farm, Mayor Tommy Battle announced. District 3 City Council Member Jennie Robinson and developer Jim Hays will join Battle at the ceremony.

Construction is expected to take around 14 months with the park set to open in fall 2025.
