CULLMAN — The Alabama Farmers Federation has endorsed Cindy Myrex for Alabama House of Representatives District 12 to fill the vacancy created by the recent resignation of Rep. Corey Harbison, R-Good Hope.
The special primary election is July 15.
“Cindy Myrex is a hard worker who not only shares our work ethic but also our conservative values,” Cullman County Farmers Federation President Lee Haynes said. “She’ll represent us well in the Legislature.”
District 12 covers the southern and western portions of Cullman County.
“It is an honor to have the endorsement of the farmers of this county,” said Myrex. “They share my campaign focus of faith, family and freedom. We will work well together to ensure the best interests of all the people of HD 12 are met.”
A lifelong resident of Cullman, Myrex graduated from Cold Springs High School and attended Wallace Community College where she received her real estate license. She is a sales agent for Lake Homes Realty where she specializes in Smith Lake and Cullman County properties.
Myrex served as a Trump Alternate Delegate to the 2024 National Republican Convention. She was also elected to the Alabama Republican State Executive Committee for Cullman County.
Myrex and her husband, Ricky, are members of Temple Baptist Church. They have two adult children, four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. They reside in the Smith Lake and Bremen area.
The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state’s largest farm organization with more than 362,000 member families. It uses a true grassroots approach to endorse candidates, relying on decisions made by county Federation boards for local elections.
