Freedom reveals first tenants for Offices at Hays Farm, donates $100,000 to local charities

HUNTSVILLE — Freedom Real Estate and Capital hosted a celebration Thursday to mark the company’s 10th anniversary.

The full-service real estate company held the event at the newly developed 54,000 square-foot, three-story Offices at Hays Farm facility, one of Freedom’s most recent projects.

“Freedom is unique in the commercial real estate space,” said CEO Bill Roark. “While Freedom initially managed the properties occupied by its sister company, Torch Technologies, Freedom Real Estate and Capital has grown into a full-scale commercial real estate company.

“Today, Freedom offers one of the broadest portfolios of services in the North Alabama area including brokerage, construction, development, owner consulting and property management.”

Freedom also announced Thompson Gray and Gray Analytics will be the first tenants in the office space.

“We are pleased and excited to be the first tenants of The Offices at Hays Farm,” said Ron Gray, CEO and president, Thompson Gray and founder and strategic advisor of Gray Analytics. “The location is perfect for both our customers and employees with easy access to both Redstone Arsenal and the rest of Huntsville and with all the amenities that come with the Hays Farm development.

“As a longtime friend and partner of Bill Roark, I am personally proud to be formally linked with the standard of excellence that is demonstrated consistently by everything done by Torch and Freedom Real Estate.”

At the event, the real estate company donated $10,000 each to the following entities:

  • Alabama A&M University
  • Alzheimer’s Association
  • American Heart Association
  • Breakthrough T1D
  • Downtown Rescue Mission
  • Family Services Center
  • Food Bank of North Alabama
  • Free2Teach
  • give256
  • New Hope Children’s Clinic

“Freedom is having a positive impact on our community,” said Madison County Commission Chairman Mac McCutcheon. “And when I say community, I’m talking about Madison County, the city of Huntsville, and all of our communities surrounding the area. We are thankful to have companies like Freedom here. I really mean, this is a great, great community, and I am so thankful to be a part of it.

“When we look at freedom and we look at the work, there’s no negative. Freedom is involved in our community in a real way. They don’t just talk the talk, but they walk the walk.”

Freedom and its parent company, Starfish Holdings, plan to eventually relocate their offices from Boulevard South to the second floor of The Offices at Hays Farm. This will leave approximately 18,000 square-feet available for lease on the first floor of the facility.
