Five Alabama companies, including three headquartered in Huntsville, are among 24 businesses selected to compete for work under a $920 million U.S. Air Force contract to modernize aerospace and ground support equipment.
Huntsville-based Intuitive Research and Technology Corp., Suntest Systems and Torch Technologies were selected for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple-award contract, along with ATAP of Eastaboga and PCI Aviation of Atmore.
The contract has a $920 million ceiling and will provide next-generation aerospace and ground equipment and vehicles for the Air Force.
The Alabama awardees are:
- ATAP, Eastaboga
- Intuitive Research and Technology Corp., Huntsville
- PCI Aviation, Atmore
- Suntest Systems, Huntsville
- Torch Technologies, Huntsville
The companies will compete for individual task orders issued under the contract rather than divide the full $920 million award at the outset.
The Air Force received 66 offers through the competitive acquisition and selected 24 companies for awards.
Work will be performed at various locations and is expected to continue through 2036.
The Air Force is obligating $15,000 in fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funding at the time of the initial award.
Air Force Materiel Command’s Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia is the contracting activity.
