Grammy winner appearing at Princess Theatre

DECATUR — Ashley McBryde is bringing her music mixture of rock, bluegrass, country pop and country rock to North Alabama.

The Princess Theatre in Decatur announced that the Arkansas-born singer will appear Nov. 8 at the art-deco building that opened as a livery stable in 1887 before re-purposed in 1919 into a silent film and vaudeville playhouse.

Tickets to the general public go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at the Princess box office or by visiting www.theprincesstheatre.org. McBryde, who lives in Nashville, has won a Grammy Award from six nominations, one Country Music Association Award, three Academy of Country Music Awards, and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy. She earned one of country music’s crowning achievements when she was invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry by Garth Brooks and was subsequently inducted by Terri Clark on Dec. 10, 2022.
