Groups and individuals encouraged to volunteer as enthusiasm builds for 2022 Panoply Arts Festival this month

(Huntsville.org Contributed)

Excitement is growing for the 2022 Panoply Arts Festival in Big Spring Park April 29-May 1, but did you know it takes over 1,000 volunteers to bring off an event this size?

Volunteers are the backbone of a successful event, and Arts Huntsville is seeking volunteers for every area of the park and in multiple areas including Creativity Corner, Panoply Letters and STEAM Street.

They also need multiple people to work as gateway greeters, in face painting and managing lost children.

There are several shifts and positions available and volunteers get free admission to the festival.

The minimum age to volunteer is 14 years old with an adult present. Volunteers 16 and 17 years old may volunteer with permission from a parent or guardian.

Groups interested in volunteering together can email Ashley Hudson, the community outreach manager at [email protected].

Individuals can sign up here.

Tickets are on sale now with day passes available in advance or at the gate for $10. Weekend passes are available for $18, only when purchased in advance.

Children 12 and under get in free.
