Heads up voters! Be prepared for Tuesday’s primary election

HUNTSVILLE – With the polls opening at 7 a.m. tomorrow, Madison County Probate Judge Frank Barger is reminding voters to be prepared for the primary election Tuesday.

The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you are in line to vote by 7 p.m., you will be allowed to cast your ballot.

The following are suggestions to make voting quick and easy.

  • Be sure to arrive at the polls with an acceptable photo ID. The list of acceptable identification can be found here.
  • Precinct boundaries and/or polling locations may have changed since the last election so be sure to verify your polling location by clicking here.
  • Review a sample Madison County ballot here, to help familiarize yourself with all offices and the amendment on the ballot.
  • Review the one statewide constitutional amendment on the ballot by clicking here.
  • Disabled voters and voters aged 70 or above may advance to the front of any line.

Do not hesitate to request help from an election worker if you require special help in the  process.
