HUNTSVILLE – With a strong defense-related and military background, Drew Hicks has been hired as Minerva Defense vice president for Test and Evaluation (T&E) Instrumentation Programs.
Hicks will be responsible for leading the strategic development, management and technical oversight of all government and commercial T&E programs for the Huntsville-based, small business defense contractor.

Hicks has a track record of building and managing cross-functional teams and leading complex DoD technical programs, according to the news release. He brings more than 15 years of experience in military aviation, defense technology, manufacturing operations, and managing government contracts in dynamic testing environments.
Hicks also directed multiple strategic initiatives, including manufacturing program management for Redstone Test Center, contract capture strategy and government relations.

Hicks has built business units from the ground up, growing programs from small teams into multimillion-dollar portfolios. He has delivered critical solutions to the Air Force, Army RCCTO, Redstone Test Center and other DoD customers.
Prior to joining Minerva, Hicks served in senior positions with Nomad Global Communication Solutions and, most recently, was the senior director of DoD programs.
A decorated Marine Corps veteran, Hicks served for more than 10 years where he developed expertise in aviation logistics, maintenance and sustainment. His experience includes multiple deployments across Central and South America.
