Homewood Suites by Hilton celebrates grand opening in Town Madison

MADISON – PHD Hotels celebrated the grand opening of its Homewood Suites by Hilton in Town Madison on Tuesday, marking the company’s latest investment in the growing Madison County market.

“We are so happy to be here in Town Madison,” said Chris Chavis, president of Auburn-based PHD Hotels. “This area has so much to offer, from the Trash Pandas stadium (Toyota Field) and surrounding restaurants to the nearby residential developments and proximity to Redstone Arsenal, which plays a major role in driving business for the entire community.”

The 100-suite hotel features in-room kitchens, a complimentary breakfast, fitness center, meeting space, guest laundry, and a saltwater outdoor pool. Guests can also enjoy outdoor grills and a patio space designed to support a more residential feel.

Chavis said the building itself was tailored to fit Town Madison’s streetscape and was approved by Hilton, despite diverging from typical Homewood Suites design.

“Our architect, Matt Butler from 2B Designs, created something that fits perfectly into the development,” Chavis said. “It turned out fantastic, and we’re excited to show it off.”

Chavis said his company is honored to be part of the community and credited developer Lewis Breland’s vision for helping make the development possible.

“He loves Madison and has basically spent his life developing Town Madison and he asked us to be a part of it,” Chavis said. “We are so happy to be here. This is our third hotel opening with him, and we’re hoping to do a fourth as well.”

Chavis said the company is committed to being part of the region’s ongoing growth.

“This is a great community,” he said. “We’re truly honored to be here and hope to continue growing along with it.”

Joey Ceci, president of Breland Companies, welcomed PHD Hotels to the area and praised their partnership.

“We’re very proud to have them,” Ceci said. “This is the kind of investment we love to see here.”

Ceci said, with the opening of the Homewood Suites, there are now six hotels in Town Madison with a seventh under construction.

“Town Madison will soon be home to 700 hotel rooms in addition to the over 25 restaurants and 15 commercial businesses,” he said. “We’re seeing a tremendous amount of growth right here.”
