HUNTSVILLE — More homes are on the market in North Alabama than there were a year ago, according to the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors. The statistics are for July 2023 from valleymls.com.
“While the price has increased slightly from last year, we have more inventory on the market at all price points,” said HAAR President Chris Hulser-Hoover. “The market is becoming healthier from last year, allowing homeowners and potential home buyers more time to negotiate a deal.”
The report shows the number of days a home is on the market is down from a month ago, which is a good sign of home sales picking up.
“July was a busy month for buyers and sellers; the days on the market decrease reflects the market picking up some from the spring,” Hulser-Hoover said.
The data from valleymls.com includes Madison, Morgan, Lawrence, Limestone, Dekalb, Etowah, Cherokee, Jackson, and Marshall counties.
