Huntsville City FC passes 3,000 mark in season tickets

HUNTSVILLE — With a little more than a week until its home opener, Huntsville City Football Club announced today the club has passed the 3,000 mark in season ticket sales.

“It’s been incredible to see the Huntsville and North Alabama community embrace Huntsville City FC,” said Chad Emerson, managing director of business operations.  “With single match tickets selling fast and season tickets launching (past) 3,000, the entire HCFC team is really grateful for our fans and supporters and look forward to hosting them at our grand opening on May 19.”

There are 5,142 “fixed seats” and another 900 “non-fixed” seats, as in suites, etc., in the renovated former minor league ballpark. The northwest corner of the stadium is a designated “Supporter Section” with the drum-beating, chanting HCFC supporters cheering on the home club.

Leading to the club’s home debut match with Crown Legacy FC, the city of Huntsville will kick off a series of celebrations with a ribbon-cutting May 16.

Following the ceremony, Joe Davis Stadium will open its gates to Huntsville City FC fans for the first time as the club launches the kit the players will don in their MLS NEXT Pro home opener.

Fans will also get a chance to see the newly renovated stadium, check out their seats for the season, meet the team, and buy food, drinks, and Huntsville City FC merchandise.

The Yellowhammer Brewing Craft Beer Garden at Joe Davis Stadium is hosting We Run Downtown Huntsville’s weekly run May 17. The free event is from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Runners are invited to enjoy the run and visit the new Beer Garden.

Meanwhile, Huntsville City FC will visit Chicago Fire II on Friday in the final match of their 7-match season-opening road schedule. Fans can catch the action at the official watch party at Rocket Republic Brewing or watch it onMLS Season Passon the Apple TV app. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
