Huntsville Transit launches free shuttle for 805 After Five concert series

HUNTSVILLE – Getting to one of Huntsville’s favorite live music events just got easier.

In response to feedback about parking accessibility, the city and Downtown Huntsville Inc. are partnering on a free shuttle service for the 805 After Five concert series.

“We’re always looking for ways to enhance the public’s experience at community events, and this shuttle is a great example of how we can use transit creatively,” said Quisha Bryant, director of Parking and Public Transportation. “We’re excited to pilot this service and appreciate the collaboration with DHI.”

The shuttle will run Thursday from 5-9 p.m., helping concertgoers get to and from Butler Green at Campus 805 with ease.

Attendees can park in Lot K on Clinton Avenue across from the Post Office, and catch the shuttle.

The city said the route is designed to ease traffic congestion and improve access to the popular outdoor music series, which attracts large crowds throughout the spring, summer and fall.

“This shuttle is another step in making sure everyone can enjoy Huntsville’s vibrant music scene without the hassle,” said Music Officer Matt Mandrella. “It’s a small but meaningful move that shows how the city and our partners are working together to support local music and the people who love it.”

The 805 After Five series, hosted by DHI and the Huntsville Music Office, features music, local food and drink vendors, and a lively atmosphere in one of the city’s most popular entertainment districts.
