HUNTSVILLE – With a redesigned web portal, Huntsville Utilities said its customers will find an enhanced and improved way of doing business, whether it’s finding information on outiages or paying bills.
Next Monday, Huntsville Utilities will launch the enterprise software system that will enhance how the utility communicates and does business with customers, the utilities said in a news release.
A key feature of the upgrade is a redesigned web portal and mobile app, which will include:
Convenient payment options, including paperless billing and no transaction fees for debit or credit card use
- Online outage reporting, along with real-time alerts and notifications (bill is available, late notice alert, payment extension requests)
- An updated outage map
- Usage monitoring tools to help track consumption
Temporary service impacts during transition week
Between now and the launch date, customers may experience limited access to some account services. This includes phone payments, the current My Account web portal, and self-service kiosks, which are being replaced with new, upgraded versions.
Customers may still make payments by cash or check at the Main Office (112 Spragins St.) and the Drive-Thru Payment Center (1100 Pulaski Pike). However, payments made during this period will not post to accounts until Aug. 11.
To support customers during the transition:
- No late fees will be charged
- No disconnections for non-payment will occur
