Torch Technologies has received a nearly $17 million U.S. Army contract modification to provide continued technical services support for aviation systems programs at Redstone Arsenal.
According to a Department of Defense contract announcement, the Huntsville-based defense contractor was awarded a $16,976,621 modification to an existing contract supporting the Aviation Mission Systems and Architecture Project Management Office.
The work will be performed at Redstone Arsenal with an estimated completion date of May 23, 2027.
The Army said the contract includes support tied to aviation mission systems and architecture programs, which generally involve engineering, software integration, testing and technical support for Army aircraft systems and related technologies.
Funding for the contract comes from multiple Army accounts, including approximately $13.2 million in fiscal year 2026 Army aircraft procurement funds, nearly $2.9 million in fiscal year 2025 aircraft procurement funds, and about $850,000 in Foreign Military Sales funding.
The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is managing the award.
Torch Technologies is one of Huntsville’s largest employee-owned defense contractors and provides engineering, research, development and software support across missile defense, aviation, modeling and simulation, and military technology programs. The company has long maintained a significant presence supporting Army and Missile Defense Agency programs in North Alabama.
The contract continues the steady flow of defense and aviation-related work tied to Redstone Arsenal, which remains one of the nation’s key centers for Army aviation development, missile defense and military technology research.
