ARLINGTON, Va. — A retired general from Redstone Arsenal is among two new members named to the Airbus U.S. Space & Defense leadership team, the company announced.
Retired Army Lt. Gen. Thomas Todd joins the company’s board with Mary Griggs as Outside Directors and members of the Government Security Committee.
“I am excited to welcome Mary and Thomas to the team, and I look forward to working with them as we continue to grow the company and solidify our position as a trusted provider of capabilities to the Defense Department and U.S. government,” said Robert Geckle, Chairman and CEO, Airbus U.S. Space & Defense.
Todd retired after a 34-year career combined aviation roles with leadership positions in research and development, acquisition, and modernization. His service culminated as Deputy Commanding General of Army Futures Command at Redstone Arsenal. Todd served as the chief innovation officer and led technology integration and capabilities development in the Army’s research laboratories and centers.
Ms. Griggs has more than a decade of experience as a board leader guiding companies operating under Special Security Agreements with the United States government and is a retired member of the Senior Executive Service. During her 32-year career in the government, she helped build five organizations with national security missions involving 17 government agencies; served as the Director of Industrial Security for the Defense Security Service (now Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency); and was a staff member on the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.
