Illinois-based engineering firm to acquire Huntsville’s FiberRise

HUNTSVILLE — Illinois-based EN Engineering signed a definitive agreement to acquire Huntsville’s FiberRise Communications. The transaction is expected to close in August.

FiberRise is a Huntsville innovator in the modernization of the grid and broadband consulting and engineering services. The company works with electric cooperatives and utility companies to provide people, families, businesses, and schools access to technology.

“We couldn’t be happier with the upcoming addition of FiberRise to the EN family,” said Adam Biggam, CEO of EN Engineering. “This partnership will further strengthen our focus on supporting utility clients with grid modernization, internal network development, and fiber expansion.”

Jaxon Lang, CEO of FiberRise said his company has been dedicated to empowering electric utilities through the innovative use of fiber because it has such a positive effect on communities.
