HUNTSVILLE — Invariant has appointed Bill Roark to its board of directors, the company announced Wednesday.
A seasoned entrepreneur and respected leader in the defense industry, Roark brings more than three decades of Department of Defense-related experience to Invariant’s strategic leadership, the company said in a news release.
Roark is the co-founder of Torch Technologies; co-founder of Starfish Holdings, the parent company of Torch; and the founder of Freedom Real Estate & Capital.
As CEO of Torch, Roark led the company to national recognition, including being named one of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in America by Entrepreneur Magazine and earning 15 consecutive placements on the Inc. 5000 list. Torch was also recognized as the No. 1 Fastest Growing Privately Held Defense Contractor in the Southeast Region.
