It’s all about Kids Kingdom, my pretty: Come stroll with the witches in Madison

(Madison Visionary Partners contributed)

MADISON – October’s Hunter’s Moon begins to fade as the Halloween new moon rises and Madison Visionary Partners is stirring up a new brew – the first ever Witches Ride, Roll & Stroll parade.

The event steps off Oct. 23 from 2-6 p.m. at Palmer Park and benefits the Kids Kingdom Renovation project.

Witches bring your best costume – good and bad, sweet, or spooky, goofy or gorgeous – and spread good cheer by throwing candy to the hundreds of kids lining the 2-mile route around the park.

Bikers bring your bikes, walkers bring your costumed pets, roller skaters strap on your skates and skateboarders and hoverboarders don your boards. It’s going to be magic in motion!

After the witches fly, MVP has double, doubled the cauldron bubbles by stirring up even more fun with the annual Black Hat Halloween Block Party on the soccer fields, and the Barks & Boos Pet Parade.

There will be food trucks, concessions, costume contests with prizes for people and pets, the best cackle contest, inflatables, and plenty of games and activities for the kids.

The party and parade are free for all onlookers.

Registration for participation in the parade is $50 per person and $25 per pet with 100% of the proceeds going to the Kids Kingdom project.

MVP is still welcoming witches, so pull together a group of your friends to form a Witches Squad with your favorite costumes and decorations.
