Kid’s Kingdom is closed; long live the new and improved version

(City of Madison contributed)

MADISON – Oh how I love to go up in a swing, up in the sky …. Whaaa?

Ever since Kid’s Kingdom at Dublin Park closed Tuesday, every kiddo in Madison County under the age of 12, feels like Cruella De Ville just stole their merry-go-round.

But do not despair!

Kid’s Kingdom is getting a complete overhaul, demolition and renovation of the community’s favorite, 25-year-old playground.

That’s right, kiddos!

Kid’s Kingdom is getting a $750,000 upgrade with inclusive equipment for children of all abilities to play, learn and grow together.

That’s a lot of polka dots on a dog but the proposed design will feature new turf, functional as well as lasting equipment, and shade screens.

The City of Madison has led the capital campaign project with the help of a coalition of Madison’s nonprofits, along with area leaders and supporting businesses.

If you would like to contribute to the Kid’s Kingdom capital campaign, visit Madison Visionary Partners’ by clicking here.

Follow Kid’s Kingdom’s social media to track its progress. There is no set date for the playground’s completion and reopening.
