HUNTSVILLE – LSINC’s PeriOne print engine recently won the Printing United Alliance Pinnacle Product Award for direct-to-shape printers.
The PeriOne is designed for full-color, light production, prototyping and proofing to cylinders and tapered media. Some standout features include the ability to print directly to clear glass without using a barrier, auto wiping and capping of the inkjet heads, and expanded maximum media diameter and length.
The PeriOne joins two other LSINC print engines: the high speed, four-tunnel PeriQ360 and the Perivallo360m, which prints to contoured media. The PeriQ360 won in this category in 2021.
“We could not be prouder of the technology we design and manufacture in our Huntsville facility,” said LSINC CEO Alicia Ryan. “The PeriOne rounds out our product portfolio by providing an entry-level solution into the direct-to-object printing space.
“We appreciate the recognition Printing United has given us.”
LSINC also won a 2022 Digital Printing/Direct-to-Object Best of Category award for the DeMarini VooDoo Baseball bat printed on LSINC’s Perivallo360.
Open to all Printing United Alliance supplier members, the Pinnacle Product Award competition evaluates products that will be available for sale in 2022. A qualified panel of judges across the printing industry evaluated the annual contest’s 160+ entries in more than 58 categories spanning analog, digital, output, and non-output technologies.
Output devices are judged based on reports generated by measuring color charts and then comparing them to industry specifications.
“This is the only competition I know of that reports on the percentage of Adobe RGB a printer can hit,” said Dawn Nye, program manager for Pinnacle Awards at Printing United Alliance. “Some categories were decided by tenths of a point, so fierce was the competition this year.
“The Pinnacle Product Award competition represents the best of the best among commercial hardware, software, consumables, and industrial and screen equipment.”
