HUNTSVILLE — Inc. magazine has named Madison Core Laboratories, a Huntsville-based clinical laboratory, to its 2023 list of “Fastest-Growing Private Companies” in the Southeast.
Ranked No. 185 on the third annual Inc. 5000 Regionals, Madison Core is among the companies that show a remarkable rate of growth across all industries in the Southeast region, the magazine said.
“We are honored to be recognized on the Inc. 5000 Southeast Regional list for the second consecutive year,” said Dr. Carlo Crespo, CEO of MCL. “I look forward to our continuous growth in the technology and services footprint.

Between 2019 and 2021, these companies had an average growth rate of 673% and, in 2021 alone, they added 25,844 jobs and nearly $7 billion to the southeast region’s economy, the magazine said.
The Southeast list ranks the fastest-growing private companies based in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, and Tennessee. To see the complete list, click here .
Born of the annual Inc. 5000 franchise, the magazine said the regional list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the Southeast economy’s most dynamic segment – independent small businesses.
