Madison County officials say construction is moving forward on a major redevelopment project at Ditto Landing, where a former State Docks warehouse is being transformed into a new event center.
The Ditto Landing Event Center is expected to be completed in fall 2026, with the timeline accounting for potential weather-related or unforeseen delays.
Situated on 2.5 acres of waterfront property, the project will convert the existing structure into a multi-use venue featuring spaces for restaurants, indoor gatherings and outdoor events. Project leaders are also seeking restaurateurs and business partners interested in helping build out the restaurant component of the facility.

Large venue planned for events and entertainment
Once complete, the venue is expected to host a wide range of activities, including live music, recreational programming and both public and private events.
“This project is an investment into the future of Madison County,” said Phil Riddick, Madison County District Five Commissioner. “The venue space is a setting where lasting memories will be made and where the spirit of our community can truly shine.”
The indoor event space will be among the largest in the county, with capacity for approximately 415 people for banquet-style events, 790 for seated concerts and up to 900 for standing-room-only events.
Expanding access to the waterfront
In addition to the indoor venue, the development will include an outdoor courtyard designed to accommodate concerts, food trucks and other community-focused gatherings.
The event center will also connect to the Ditto Landing greenway and be accessible by water, with designated areas for boats to anchor.
Ditto Landing already offers a range of amenities, including a marina, boat and kayak launches, walking trails, campgrounds and expansive green space. County leaders say the new event center is expected to build on those offerings while creating new opportunities for residents and visitors alike. Find more information about Ditto Landing here.
