Huntsville Utilities is making it easier than ever to manage your utilities with the launch of HSVUTIL, a new mobile app and web portal available Aug. 11. Designed with customer convenience in mind, HSVUTIL allows users to view and pay bills, track energy usage, and receive account alerts — all from a secure, easy-to-use platform accessible on your phone, tablet, or computer.
With HSVUTIL, you can view, download, and pay your bill anytime using a debit or credit card with no transaction fees. Customers can also continue using paperless billing and set up automatic payments via bank draft. The app and portal offer energy and water usage monitoring features that allow you to track daily and monthly consumption, compare current usage with previous periods, and identify ways to save. Users can opt in to receive alerts and reminders by email or text.
For customers managing more than one account, HSVUTIL displays all the accounts in one place, including amounts due for each. Payments can be made to individual accounts or across multiple accounts, whether you’re using the website or the mobile app. The experience is streamlined, intuitive, and tailored to fit your needs.
What You Need to Do
On Aug. 11, customers should delete the HU Mobile app and download HSVUTIL (look for the green icon) from their preferred app store. You can register on HSVUTIL with either your old or your updated account number. Bank draft users will be automatically transferred to the new system, while credit card users will need to manually reauthorize their information once the app is live.
Security First
Security is a top priority. Huntsville Utilities will never call or email you to ask for credit card numbers, bank account information, or any other personal financial details. If you receive such a request from someone claiming to be a Huntsville Utilities employee, do not provide any information and report the communication immediately.
Transition Details
The new app is available for iOS, Android, Windows, and web browsers, featuring secure login options for added protection. The current HU Mobile app will be retired August 11. Customers who pay by bank draft will not need to take any action during the transition, but those who use recurring credit card payments will need to re-register their card in the new system after launch. To ease the changeover, any payments made Aug. 1-11 may post slightly later than usual, but no late fees will be charged during this grace period.
More Than A Payment Tool
HSVUTIL is more than just a utility payment tool – it’s a way for customers to take control of their accounts and gain better insight into their energy habits. Whether you manage one account or several, HSVUTIL provides a streamlined experience tailored to your needs.
