HUNTSVILLE – Jim Page, executive vice president of Huntsville-based MartinFederal Consulting, has been named to the board of directors of the Tennessee Valley Corridor. U.S. Rep. Dale Strong appointed Page to represent the Fifth Congressional Distict on the board.
Page is also president of XCEL Engineering, a wholly owned subsidiary of MartinFed. He previously served more than 20 years as a chamber of commerce executive, including 11 years as president and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
The TVC was organized in 1995 to encourage on-going regional collaboration in energy, science, environment, space, national security, and education throughout the five-state region.
“The work of the Tennessee Valley Corridor is critically important to the Fifth Congressional District, and I am proud to support their efforts in Washington, D.C.,” said Strong (R-Huntsville). “Jim’s proven economic and community development experience, as well as his many connections in higher education, make him an ideal choice for this role and will serve our region well on the TVC Board.”
Today, federal investment in the Tennessee Valley region tops an estimated $75 billion annually and directly employs more than 150,000 individuals across 82 federal agencies throughout the Corridor.
