HUNTSVILLE – More than 1,100 babies require the specialized care of the Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children each year.
Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s 18th annual Miracle Bash is raising money to provide lifesaving equipment and services for these sick and premature infants. This year’s fundraiser will also support the needs of Madison Hospital’s Level II Nursery.
“Last year, Miracle Bash raised record net proceeds to provide lifesaving respiratory equipment for the NICU,” said Amy George, co-founder of the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund at HHF. “We couldn’t have done it without the incredible sponsors and guests who come alongside us year after year to honor Melissa’s life.”
The annual fundraiser for ages 21 and older is Aug. 4 inside The Royal at Stovehouse. Miracle Bash will feature live music from local band Juice, games, a silent auction and an opportunity to honor NICU babies. Tickets are on sale at bidpal.net/hhfbash23.
Proceeds will fund high-tech infant beds and warmers through the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation. Donations will also purchase computers and mounts for unit nurses providing care at the bedside.
“The support and generosity from the community ensures that sick and premature babies have access to the equipment and care they need without having to travel outside our region,” George said. “We hope to see you on August 4 as we aim to raise record proceeds once again.”
