Myrex wins special GOP primary runoff for Alabama House District 12

CULLMAN — Cindy Myrex defeated Clint Hollingsworth in Tuesday’s special Republican Primary Runoff in Alabama House District 12.

She will face Democrat Matthew Glover in the special general election Oct. 28.

With 100% of precincts reporting, Myrex received 3,048 votes (58.53%) to Hollingsworth’s 2,160 (41.47%).

This seat became vacant this year when Corey Harbison resigned from the Alabama House of Representatives to spend more time with his family.
