CULLMAN — Cindy Myrex, a lifelong Cullman County resident, has qualified with the Alabama Republican Party to run for the Alabama House of Representatives District 12 seat.

“I love our hometown and the people in it,” Myrex said in a news release. “I’m running because I believe it’s time we had a strong, local voice down in Montgomery who truly understands what matters most to folks around here — faith, family, and good, honest work.”

Myrex said she brings experience as a businesswoman and conservative. Her campaign will focus on strengthening small businesses, defending parental rights, and protecting the conservative values that define Cullman County.

She served as a Trump alternate delegate at the 2024 Republican National Convention, participated in the Alabama Strike Force’s grassroots efforts in Georgia, and was elected to the State Executive Committee for Cullman County.

“My door is always open, and I’ll never forget who I’m working for,” she said. “I’ll take our common sense and strong convictions with me every step of the way.”

The Republican primary election is July 15.
