New 4-way stop at Jack Clift Boulevard and Lessie Clift Lane/Silo Lane

(Madison County contributed)

MADISON — Drivers in the Clift Farm area near Madison will face a new traffic pattern this week, Madison County Public Works announced.

County crews will convert the intersection of Jack Clift Boulevard and Lessie Clift Lane/Silo Lane to a four-way stop effective Thursday.

The change is being made to enhance safety and better accommodate pedestrians crossing at the intersection, county officials said.

Workers will install stop signs, advance warning signs, and pavement striping Thursday morning.

Motorists are advised to use extra caution in the area. Temporary “new” plaques and flashing red beacons will be installed along Jack Clift Boulevard to alert drivers of the new traffic pattern.
