WASHINGTON — The University of Alabama in Huntsville received a nearly $49 million contract from the Army, the Department of Defense announced.
UAH is among several local entities that recently received contracts or will work on contracts awarded by the DoD.
- UAH was awarded a $48,993,371 cost-no-fee contract for research and development engineering and aviation services by the Army. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2029. The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is the contracting activity.
- Agile Decision Sciences of Huntsville was awarded a $13,110,452 firm-fixed-price contract modification for administrative, analytical, and consulting services to support, analyze, and investigate issues related to military public health, force health protection, and health service support during deployments, extended training missions, and operational testing. Support organizations include the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Readiness Programs and Oversight, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, the Director Defense Health Agency, the Chief of Staff, and other subordinate program directorates.
- Torch Technologies of Huntsville was awarded a $13,690,677 modification to a contract for engineering services. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 12, 2025. The Army Contracting Command on Redstone Arsenal is the contracting activity.
- Radiance Technologies of Huntsville was awarded a maximum $9,950,000 indefinite-delivery/
indefinite-quantity contract for a multi-architecture mission modeling and simulation effort. This contract provides for the development of weapons technologies. Work will be performed in Huntsville and is expected to be completed by Dec. 12, 2029. - Technology Service Corp. of Arlington, Va., has been awarded a $15.2 million cost-plus-fixed-fee ceiling increase modification to a previously awarded contract for low-cost seeker research and development. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $20 million from $4.8 million. Work will be performed in Huntsville and is expected to be completed by April 18, 2029.
- SCI Technology Inc. of Huntsville was awarded a $40,701,910 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/
indefinite-quantity contract to procure SCI Technology Tactical Operations Center Network Intercommunication System equipment to include: a minimum quantity of 15 power hubs, and a maximum quantity of 3,780 interface panels, 2,060 radio control and audio equipment, 730 speakers, 600 power hubs, and 8,800 cables in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Webster Outlying Field, Special Communications Mission Solutions Division. The work will be performed in Huntsville and is expected to be completed in December 2029. - General Dynamics Mission Systems Inc. of Scottsdale, Ariz., has been awarded a $9,956,096 modification to a previously awarded contract for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture ground management and integration and operation and sustainment efforts. Work will be performed in Scottsdale; Huntsville; and Grand Forks, N.D., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2029. The Space Development Agency, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
- Raytheon Co., of Tucson, Ariz., is awarded a not-to exceed $401,199,552 firm-fixed-price undefinitized contract for the procurement of 131 full rate production Block V Tactical Tomahawk All Up Rounds missiles to include 26 for the Army, 16 for the Marine Corps, 11 for the Commonwealth of Australia, and 78 for the government of Japan. Work will be performed in Tucson; Phoenix; Huntsville; Pontiac, Mich.; East Camden, Ark.; Clearwater, Fla.; Anniston; Spanish Fork, Utah; Berryville, Ark.); Glenrothes Fife, Great Britain; El Segundo, Calif.; Dublin, Ga.; Middletown, Conn.; Vergennes, Vt.; Midland, Ont.; Blaine, Minn.; Boulder, Colo.; and various locations withing the continental United States and is expected to be completed in March 2028.
