“We are very excited to have Braxton continue this leadership role in a more permanent basis,” said Russell Pigg, CEO and Market President for North Alabama Medical Center and North Alabama Shoals Hospital. “We interviewed several highly-qualified candidates and it was unanimous that he was our top choice. Braxton is an exemplary leader with a tremendous amount of operational experience and expertise.

“He has demonstrated a high level of commitment to patient care, physicians, employees and the community.”

While at NAMC, Holloway served as Associate Administrator as well as Ethics and Compliance Officer. He oversaw daily operations and project leadership contributions to multiple strategic growth initiatives and transitions, such as the launch of the psychiatry residency program and bariatric surgery.

Holloway also spent time at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn., where he served as assistant administrator, market director of Physician Practices and market practice manager. He was also a practice manager at Centennial Thoracic Surgical Associates in Nashville.

“I am honored to be the Chief Operating Officer at North Alabama Shoals Hospital,” Holloway said. “It has been a rewarding experience to serve in an interim capacity for the past two months. I look forward to gaining more valuable insights into the organization and continue building relationships with our great team.

“I am very excited about the future growth that lies ahead for both Shoals Hospital and the communities we serve.”

Holloway holds a bachelor of science degree in Healthcare Administration from Middle Tennessee State University and a master of business administration degree with an emphasis in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University.
