Entrepreneurs across North Alabama have a chance to pitch their ideas and compete for funding as applications open for the fifth annual Singing River Trail Launch Tank, a “Shark Tank”-style competition that has become a cornerstone event for the region’s startup community.
Hosted by Launch Regional Partnership in collaboration with Singing River Trail, the 2026 competition marks five years of supporting local founders by connecting innovative business ideas with capital, mentorship and regional resources. Finalists will compete for up to $25,000 in cash and prizes.
Since its launch, Singing River Trail Launch Tank has grown into one of North Alabama’s most anticipated entrepreneurship events, drawing founders from across the Tennessee Valley and highlighting the region’s growing startup ecosystem.
“Reaching our fifth anniversary is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when you invest consistently in entrepreneurs and believe in the potential of this region,” said Jim Page, interim executive director of Launch Regional Partnership. “Alabama is an incredible place to start and grow a business, and this competition proves that year after year.”
Finalists will deliver their live pitches April 21, 2026, at Singin’ River Live in Florence. In addition to competing for non-dilutive funding, selected entrepreneurs will gain access to customized connections with mentors, regional programs and business development resources aimed at long-term growth.
“This fifth year feels especially meaningful,” said Misti Potter, executive director of Singing River Trail. “Launch Tank has become a celebration of collaboration, creativity and regional pride. Hosting the event in Florence this year underscores how the competition continues to grow and evolve.”
Applications are open to residents or individuals who work in Colbert, DeKalb, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall or Morgan counties.
