Plan ahead for road closures in north Huntsville during Celebrate Education Day Parade and Festival

HUNTSVILLE – Motorists on Pulaski Pike will face temporary closures Saturday morning for the annual Celebrate Education Day Parade and Festival.

The Huntsville Police Department said the parade may cause minor traffic delays in the morning. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes when possible.

Road Closures
The following roadways will close at 7:30 a.m., with reopening expected by 10 a.m.:

  • Mastin Lake Road from Marymount Drive to Pulaski Pike
  • Pulaski Pike from Mastin Lake Road to Winchester Road
Parade Route

The parade will start at the Academy for Scoence and Foreign Language Middle School on Mastin Lake Road, travel west along Mastin Lake Road, continue north on Pulaski Pike and end at Mae Jemison High School.

HPD officers will assist with traffic control to ensure the safety of participants and spectators.
