HUNTSVILLE — “Don’t know why,

“There’s no sun up in the sky,

“Stormy weather.”

The classic song by Etta James has been a fitting anthem for this spring.

And today will be no different.

A cold front will bring a low to medium chance of severe storms this afternoon through the evening, according to the National Weather Service Huntsville office.

The storms are forecast to produce hail of one-inch in diameter or greater and possible damaging winds. There is a low chance of a tornado, the office said.

All of North Alabama and southern middle Tennessee are in the path of the storms from about 2-11 p.m. today.
