DECATUR – Pryor Field Airport Authority has signed a lease agreement with a Memphis-based aviation maintenance company.
“I am excited to see more growth at Pryor Field (DCU) and the potential that it brings to our area and our customers,” said Airport Director Adam Fox. “Providing comprehensive maintenance and avionics support to the business and general aviation customers based at DCU, or those flying to our airport, is critical to our success.”
According to a news release, FTair will offer maintenance, overhaul, and avionics services to the flying community that frequents the Huntsville Metro and the Tennessee Valley.
“We are thrilled to announce our enthusiastic support for Pryor Field Airport,” said Flight Test Aerospace COO Joe Mateo. “This partnership marks a significant milestone in our commitment to advancing aviation infrastructure and services. “We look forward to leveraging our expertise to contribute to the growth and success of Pryor Field Airport.”
FTair is a certified 145 Repair Station with corporate offices in Memphis. The company began as Tunica (Miss.) Air Group in 2006 and moved to Memphis in 2008, changing its name to Total Air Group.
In 2020 it merged with the FTA family and integrated with FTair in 2022. FTair’s business pursuits are in general, corporate, and commercial aircraft services, as well as asset management.
