HUNTSVILLE — There will be emergency vehicles with their lights flashing and sirens wailing today in Huntsville, but it is only a simulation.

Redstone Arsenal officials said they are conducting a “full scale exercise” with community partners, including local hospitals and emergency responders.

The on-post event includes “live-play” scenarios where participants will conduct response activities.

“There will be a SIMULATED event requiring emergency services from on and off the installation,” Team Redstone said on a Facebook post. “There could be realistic sounding simulated loud noises and the possibility of different types of emergency vehicles coming on and off post.”
