Resurfacing of Highway 20 in Lawrence County to start next week

HILLSBORO — A $2.9 million resurfacing project on SR-20 in Lawrence County will begin Monday, weather permitting.

The Alabama Department of Transportation said contractor Wiregrass Construction will mill and resurface 5.5 miles of Alabama Highway 20 from west of Kirby Road in Hillsboro to the Morgan County line.

ALDOT advises motorists to expect daily single-lane closures in either direction.
